TAASK makes two different courses possible:

Before all TAASK courses, participants prepare by reading the book "TAASK: Prevent and managing crises in anesthesiology", and taking an online pretest.

TAASK Masterclass: 3 days

After an introductory morning, 8 full-scale simulations are held followed by in-depth debriefings that cover both medical and CRM aspects, as well as how these affect each other. The course also includes an airway workshop and short lectures on airway algorithm and circulatory collapse. The course ends with an interactive post test.

TAASK Express: 1 day; 2-4 course days are held during one week

Each day, one or two groups of course participants are welcomed, who simulate in either one or two simulation rooms, either in-situ or at a simulation center. After an hour's introduction, 4 full-scale simulations are run according to the same model as in the TAASK Masterclass. TAASK Express also ends with an interactive postal test.

Who attends TAASK courses?

At TAASK Masterclass there are 12 places for anesthesiologists and 6 for nurse anesthetists or ODAs. At TAASK Express there are up to 9 or 18 course places per day: at least a third of the places are filled by anesthesiologists (both ST and specialists), a third by nurse anesthetists or ODAs, and the remaining places are taken by anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists or ODAs, auxiliary nurses, and on certain courses scrub nurses.
